Welcome to my Hemi Fansite

Hemi Power

Hemi engines are them most powerful in the world and catapult many of the muscle cars for the 60's down the quarter mile at record breaking speeds.

One of my favorite cars that are powered by the Hemi is the Plymouth Road Runner throughout 1968 to 1970.

1968 Plymouth Road Runner came stock with the 383 and if you weaned you could have it with the  HEMI 426. The options in the 68  Plymouth Road Runner we not good and the car was pretty bare and basic due to the expected low turnout in sales. But to their surprise they went on to sell over 40,000 of these cars ( expected to sell only 2k!)

1969 Plymouth Road Runner had much more options due to the great sales the'68 had. Now you could buy a convertible with a 440 engine in either a 4 or 6 barrel carburetor. Again sales number over over 80k witch doubled the previous years model.
Looks wise they '68 and '69 models looked alike except for the lights

1970 Plymouth Road Runner continued to put out many more options such as the popular hood "Air Grabber" that at a flip of the switch the scoop would open to let air into the engine. However, they did not change anything in the engine line-up. The Side scoop was the only design that was changed from the previous models.
